Ideally, the reason why my colleagues Jona and Sarah and I went to Vikings a couple of weeks ago is to celebrate Sarah’s pregnancy.
That’s what we’d like to think. Truth is, the lunch at Viking’s had been planned because Sarah had a 50% discount thanks to her credit card. When she asked us if we’d like to go, of course we said yes. We never say no to food and we’re notorious for being eating machines.
Then a day before our Vikings date, Sarah found out that she’s having a baby girl. Wee! So it made perfect sense to tell people that we’re going on a trip to food-coma-land to celebrate.
And not because of the 50% discount.
I brought Yuri along with me as my date. That’s probably the last time I’m bringing Yuri to Vikings. He just ate several corndogs and a few bites of pizza! That’s right buster; you’re staying home next time. I should have learned my lesson from the last time I brought Yuri with me. At least he ate corndogs this time!
Yuri had a funny antic when we were there. He hung out behind Vikings’ signage where a lot of people were having their pictures taken. Then he would fit his head into one of the holes in the wall to photobomb people.
Oh Yuri. I imagine several photobomb pictures. Well at least your photobomber was adorable? I’ll now let the pictures do the talking. My plates:
And here are the stations. I took most of the pictures near the end of lunch time so many of the food stations were almost empty:
Did you notice the lady from the pictures of the dessert station and the fro-yo station (3rd to the last and 2nd to the last pictures)? It’s almost as if she had a vendetta against me lelz. And the restaurant itself:
Now, in all seriousness, congratulations Sarah and Xandy!
