Lovely Monday everyone! How was your weekend?
Mine was uneventful but was filled with little bits of busy-bee-ness. It was overall a very fun and productive weekend and I was able to do a lot of things (except watch last Saturday’s Kalyeserye episode — I was able to catch a replay of it yesterday, though; kilig!) Here are the little pieces of fun and work from the weekend:
Site Visit
I work remotely for an Australian company on weekdays; I’m a real estate broker on weekends. This particular weekend, we had a couple of clients that we took on a site visit (aka tripping in local lingo). The projects we showed were located on the other side of the city so we had a pretty long trip.
My buntot (tail) tagged along with us:
Christmas Decorations
We (read: my mum and our helper) started putting up decorations last week. They then put up Christmas lights around the house last Friday night.
On a side note, can you believe it’s almost Christmas again? Time flies so fast it’s almost scary! Ahh!
A little bit of homeschooling
Even though I want to, I just don’t have the energy to homeschool Yuri on weekdays after work. All I want to do after work is rest and laze around. So I try to dedicate weekends to little bits of homeschooling. Nothing formal at all for my 3-year old as I don’t have time to study a curriculum either, let alone follow it. Which sealed the decision: Yuri is going to physical school next year. But here’s what we were able to do yesterday with the help of our new Buribox!

Playing with clay

I coloured this one. Yuri was initially annoyed that I didn’t follow the guide. Play-by-the-rules child that I have here.
We enjoyed our Buribox very much. I’ll write about it soon!
Baking
Nothing fancy — just three kinds of cookies (plain, raisin, oatmeal) and then trying not to gulp them all down while they’re still hot.
There you go, my busy & messy yet uneventful weekend.
How did your weekend go?

Wow! You’re busy as a bee, Mommy Maan!
Will wait for your blog about Buribox. I’m comtemplating pa if we will subscribe or not.
Hi Maan! What is your oven and mixer brand? I’ve been scouting both for a while now since I really want to start baking. Not for business but for fun…
No decors yet in our house, I’m planning to do it this weekend after I do a general cleaning. 🙂
Nice weekend you had. No decors yet and planning to do it this weekend too with the kids of course. Yay! (excited) 🙂

I interested about home-schooling. Nako my weekend was frustrating because of the internet connection and the virus nga ningsulod sa laptop. But thank God kasi okay na. Back to normal na.
had a busy weekend too, yan ata life natin mga moms bihira rest day. At least you were still able to spend time with your son
I also do baking every weekends.
I used to bake when I was single… maybe I should do it again 🙂
That’s what you call uneventful? Dami kayang ganap? Haha!
What a fruitful weekend you had! Dami mo na accomplish mommy.
Yay! Glad you guys were able to use the BuriBox already. 🙂 What busy weekend you had. I guess, all of us can expect more busy-ness in our lives now that Christmas is coming.
What a very productive weekend. I like the Buribox 🙂
Hi Maan! My weekend was crazy as usual! I cooked and baked and worked on two academic papers for my Master’s. Really looking forward to the end of this sem so I can play more with the twins and my two-month-old baby and bake more. 🙂
I just read about Buribox. Looks like you had a fun weekend!
Xoxo

It was a busy weekend, indeed 🙂 I like the homeschooling part. Where’d you get them? 🙂
My 4-year old takes to Buribox like a hand to a glove! I’m happy that he’s into it and that he’s the one initiating our lessons. 🙂
You did well Maan! That wasn’t totally uneventful (maybe on a normal monotonous schedule sense haha) but I’m proud of you and for accomplishing a lot of things! How old is Yuri now btw?
I’ve read Buribox from another mommy blogger and it makes me wanna try it too. But Avis is still a year old so she doesn’t need it that much. Hope it still exists by the time she does!
I haven’t done any Christmas decor yet, mine was unproductive too but I have tons of exciting tasks – making Christmas wishlist for family & friends, shopping for gifts, planning for a room renovation & maybe squeeze in a little Christmas post-birthday gathering for my daughter.
Whew! Busy week indeed. 😉 ours is busy too preparing for charley’s 1st birthday party. 🙂
Been wanting to go to a baking worshop for the longest time kaso until now di ko pa magawa hehehe. I hope I have the time to do it next year.
Seems like an eventful weekend to me! I love the time you take to be with your son and cookie making is a great idea! Would certainly be doing the same if we had an oven!
