A Night At Camella Northpoint Condominium: Our AirBNB Experience

Condominium Davao

A month ago, we surprised our “super-friend” with a baby shower.

We originally wanted to book a hotel room for it, but the rates were too high (at least for me because I volunteered to shoulder half of the rate hehe). Because I was the self-proclaimed gala organiser of our group, I tried to look for cheaper options. I tried searching for cheaper hotels but either they lacked a swimming pool or the rooms were too tiny.

Until I decided to look for a condominium unit through AirBNB.

I have had an account with AirBNB for I think 3 years now, but I’ve never used it. But when I tried to look for condo units in our city (Davao City), I was surprised at how many choices there were for all budget ranges. I immediately spotted several ads that fit my budget and, at the same time, were pretty enough for a baby shower.

I booked a 2-bedroom condo unit at Camella Northpoint for, guess what, just P2,500 a night!

The owner, who was in constant contact with me throughout the whole transaction, invited me to view the room before booking it. I declined because I happened to be super busy that week. But when we checked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The unit was very clean and new and true to the pictures.

Here are some pictures of Camella Northpoint:

Camella Northpoint is one of the most accessible condominiums in Davao City. It is just a walk away from Ayala Abreeza Mall and is generally near everything you might possibly need. If you’re planning to rent a condominium unit during your visit, Camella Northpoint is possibly one of the most convenient.

(Or if you’re planning to buymessage me! I’m a licensed real estate broker! *wink wink*)

For what it’s worth, P2,500 is a very very cheap price to pay for this unit. It’s a fully-furnished 2-bedroom unit, and aside from the furniture and appliances, the owner also generously stocked the pantry and the bathroom for his guests. There was even rice in his pantry! Also, unlike hotels, check-in and check-out time is negotiable (as long as it is reasonable).

What I loved the most about this AirBNB experience was the brilliant service offered to us by the owner, John Matthew Librando. As I mentioned, he was in constant contact with me (this is an important thing to me because there are some sellers and service-providers who just don’t bother).

Case in point, he had an unexpected guest rent the place the night before our reservation. He contacted me right away to inform me just in case we decided to check in early. He also took time to go to my friend George’s office just to bring her an acknowledgement receipt for my down-payment. And when we checked out, he graciously asked us for comments and suggestions. We had no complaints at all so we were all praises!

So if you’re looking for a place to stay in Davao City, check out Mr Librando’s place in Camella Northpoint. Here’s the link to his property:

Love his place! And it’s really affordable for an overnight stay na 2 bedrooms pa! 🙂 I think these days, it’s best to rent a unit for an overnight stay as it’s way cheaper than booking a hotel and it’s almost the same with the amenities!

I registered in AirBnB few years ago but I haven’t tried to reserve a room yet but I have friends who prefer AirBnB for an international trip because it is cheaper. P2500 is a good price for 2 bedroom unit.

2500 for a 2br? What a steal! 🙂 last time we rented a condo it was 2500 for a studio. I’ve been browsing at airbnb for quite sometime. Maybe it’s time to put it to good use.

That’s an affordable price for an overnight stay. My husband and I plan to have our condo unit rented out through AirBNB soon. It’s near the airports so I hope balikbayans and foreigners would rent it out. It’s very accessible and near malls also.

I haven’t used Airbnb but I have an account with them. However, I also had an experience renting a condo unit for 1 day for the same price. I can say that it’s fun to stay in such place than in hotels and is much cheaper too.. The place you got there is cute for a baby shower. 😊

Oh, so that’s how you found a place for the baby shower. I was wondering how one can borrow a condo unit for an event. I’ll note the airbnb link down for future reference. 🙂

Hi Aims! Walay gihatag na limit ang owner. I guess you can ask as long as the number is reasonable ^_^

Wow! That’s a steal ha! Now, I have an idea where to stay when we visit Davao in the future. Thank you! 🙂

I also have an Air BnB account, which I haven’t used because most of the ones who are asking are looking for ‘daily’ condo units, and ours here in manila is strictly offered for a monthly lease as per the in laws. hehehe.. It’s awesome to use air bnb though, especially when you’re traveling on a budget and want to cook as well. I find it really cheaper than hotels. 🙂
