Messy Haul: Some Fun and Frugal Finds from DCLA, Uyanguren

Hello, yes, it’s me, the blogger who churns out haul post after haul post… If it’s any consolation, these are not craft or planner or makeup finds. Well, at least not everything?

Kidding aside, as someone who loves shopping but hates spending a lot, I love cheap shopping destinations. You folks from Manila have Divisoria; we have Chinatown or Uyanguren. My favourite “mall” there is DCLA not only because it’s bigger than the other places but also because it’s cleaner.

A couple of weeks ago, my mum and I (and my tail, Yuri) went out on a Saturday morning to do bank errands. Deposit here, withdraw there, and get coin banks for Yuri and my sister who are both youth savers… Yuri was pretty ecstatic with his coin bank (he ditched his Mickey Mouse one for it) – too ecstatic that he gets almost every denomination from P1 to P20 from my wallet for his “savings.” Guess who doesn’t have coins and petty cash every single time? Hormones, Adulting, and Hospital Hopping

Okay, I belatedly realise the title may be the slightest bit misleading. Just to avoid making unnecessary assumptions, no, I’m not pregnant. Although I did get so fat… Haha!

But I’ve been extremely hormonal these past few days. I’m blaming it on work-related stress (until last Tuesday, I had been busy conducting interviews with applicants), family matters (my dad was rushed to the hospital Thursday night, underwent dialysis Friday and underwent another round of dialysis today), and personal stressors (discipline problem with Yuri and a minor tampo with Job). And would you believe I caught a stomach flu last Friday? I debated sending myself to the emergency with my dad already admitted in the hospital. Good thing I got well quickly, thank you Lord.

Ah, life is good.
