My Recent Loot from Korea, Care of Althea (As Usual)

Althea Philippines Review

I remember blogging about Korean dramas and Korean stars in my old college blog (nope, no link haha). I’ve always loved Korean food too though, for the life of me, I cannot memorise the names of the dishes. But recently, I became obsessed with Korean skincare products and makeup.

So for me, it just makes a lot of sense to order directly from Korea (via Althea, of course!). For starters, not all of the products are locally available here. Also, prices are much, much cheaper, not to mention you can earn referral points and rebates!

Without much ado, here’s the latest loot I received from Althea a month ago:

Messy Haul: Frugal Finds from Etude House and National Bookstore

In a previous post, I wrote about just how much we’re loving Eye Level Learning Center. Well, another thing I love about it is being able to choose our own schedule. We’re there Tuesdays and Saturdays at 10 am. Saturdays are a no-brainer because I have no work and we’re able to do our own “thing” after class.

Therein lies the problem.

SM Lanang Premier is just a couple of minutes away from Eye Level, which means it’s going to be a bit harder to resist a sale. Speaking of sale, Etude House went on sale last weekend. Being a self-confessed fanatic of all things Korean, I frequent Etude House, so of course, I went!

I worked on a minimal budget though (hashtag spending rehab) of, guess what, P500. I was so determined to stick to my budget but I went a little bit over huhu. Anyway, here’s what I got: Continue Reading

Messy Haul: This Novice Girl’s Drugstore Makeup Haul

Drugstore Makeup Haul

I finally got into makeup during the later part of 2015.

Not the entire thing, but you know, the basics. I’ve always been just the BB cream + lip balm + eyebrow pencil girl, and it served me well, but I noticed that I looked pale in pictures. That was the sole reason why I started mulling over full lip colour (good bye, sheer lip balm!).

As I’m a novice when it comes to the makeup game, I have no idea what colours would work for my face and skin tone. No way am I going to buy expensive makeup without experimenting first — that would be too risky for a clueless girl like me!

So I’m starting with cheap — as in cheap —  drugstore makeup, brands like e.l.f. and Maybelline. I already have a handful of lipsticks, but I wanted to experiment with matte lippies. Here’s my most recent drugstore makeup haul: Continue Reading

What’s In My Cart: Phone, Makeup, and More

I haven’t posted any haul post lately. Must be because I haven’t been buying anything lately? Haha that’s probably the reason why!

Aside from the obvious fact that it’s almost Christmas (can you believe it) and I’m trying to save money for Christmas gifts (emphasis on trying huhu), I find myself spending on food instead of stuff. That’s unlike me because I usually prefer buying stuff over food – must explain the weight gain I’ve had lately?

But that doesn’t mean I’m not window shopping. Oh no, far from that. In fact, I’ve been doing nothing but check online websites. For weeks now. I’m very busy at work (and I’ve been having personal problems — read: LQ), so I’m relieving stress by online window shopping. Who doesn’t love online window shopping? You get the same happy hormone rush as if you’re actually shopping without the buyer’s remorse.

Okay I take it back. It’s not exactly like actual shopping. But it’s still stress-relieving — at least for me! Here are the stuff I’ve been planning to buy (but keep on delaying because I’m one kuripot lady):

1. Phone
