Hi everyone!
How was your weekend?
Mine was uneventful. A little tiring but I’m still thankful it was uneventful.
You see, it was my maternal cousin’s birthday last Friday and they celebrated it at a quite popular resort here in Davao (Pearl Farm). We were all invited to come but my dad could barely get out of bed due to heavy medications and I had to work (no holiday for remote workers hehe).

I pray I can go to the beach, too…
My mum was going to turn down the invitation but my dad insisted we go. I told him I’d stay behind (and, by extension, Yuri) with him to be his nurse. And the rest was history. I was working on a holiday with a restless preschooler, and for the entire weekend, ran the household and tried not to get confused with what medicines my father needed to take at a specific time.
I couldn’t stand blood but sometimes I wish I took up nursing! Haha just kidding.
I also ended up filling up every possible container at home with water because there was an advisory of water interruption for 3 days. I guess I had an adrenaline rush (read: panic) because I easily filled up around 15 large Tupprrwares and Rubbermaids, 3 empty gallons of water, and a huge Orocan drum.
Guess what. We never lost our water.Β Oh well!
Anyway, we tried to have some fun at home by creating (and eating) the last of Yuri’s Minion mamon(s).
Meanwhile, my mum and sister enjoyed the weekend in Pearl Farm:
Looking at all of their photos from the trip, I decided to research and look for another beach resort to stay overnight in. Villa Amparo? Secdea? Now I know that aΒ hotΒ “rainy” season must be good for at least one thing!
PS:
Did you notice my new theme? I couldn’t resist and bought it from a designer on Etsy. I’ll write about it, along with my host provider, soon!

Bad you were not able to go Pearl Farm, that would have been fum. Atleast your weekend was fruitful though.
Oo nga, bawi nalang next time π
Get well soon to your dad. Lucky that you have the Minions Mamon. We’ve been looking for that for ages already π
I’ve been looking for them all over the major malls here – surprisingly, I found a lot of Minion mamons in a small neigbourhood grocery!
hope your dad gets better soon.. my husband’s down sick too, and I see that even if you say it’s an uneventful weekend, medyo napagod ka rin cause of the panics and adrenaline rush hahaha! :)loving the new theme by the way
Diba? At least I got some exercise haha. Thank you!

Davao has changed a lot! I hope you can go back with your family π
Awwww, daughter and mommy duties at the same time.
Our long weekend was pretty okay, except from the Mr. STRANGER incident (story on the blog). I was glad I finished everything that was due last Sunday. (Oh except laundry and room cleaning. Haha)
Ooooh couldn’t wait to read that story!
Nicely done Minion! Ours had a little too much frosting lol. The Pearl Farm looks beautiful.
We got it right the second time around! π
We need to go back to Davao soon!
Join the get-together ha! π
Aww…too bad you missed going to Pearl Farm. Hope your dad feels better soon. Our weekend was filled with bumps and bruises. I’m sporting a black eye right now (huhu) because one of my monkeys was jumping on the bed and his head fell on top of my face. The other monkey has a cut on his lip also from jumping on the bed.ouch!
Naku, you just lived through a nursery rhyme. I hope you and your kids are fine now! Virtual hug!
so nice of you to stay behind w your dad!
Thank you!
My father is currently 90% blind because of an overdose of a supplement recommended by a doctor. I’ve been wanting to take care of them na but we still have not settled how we can make it work.
Oh, I’m sorry, it just crossed my mind reading your blog because you were taking care of your dad and all.
No worries, I understand. It would be so nice if you can finally find a suitable arrangement!
Hope your dad’s gets better soon. Pearl Farm! <3 I haven't been to Davao, one day… π
Thank you! I hope you can come and visit. π
I love Pearl Farm π I think I met the daughter of the resort’s owner way back in high school :)) Anyway, I hope your dad is doing well. I love your site too π
Cool, you met a Floirendo! Thanks, Ayi. π
Pearl farm looks super excellent! Hope I can visit sometime too!
That would be nice!

It is! Service is good, too!
Awesome weekend! Hahahaha! Akala ko naman natuloy ka sa Davao! But still, awesome weekend pa rin. Cheers to minion mamon and get well soon to your dad! π
Hi Joy, I live in Davao π
Kailan ba ako makakabalik sa Davao? A family getaway in Davao’s Pearl Farm will definitely be in my list once we have saved enough for our trips. Sana malapit na yun. π Bisitahin ka namin, hehe.
Oo nga! Davao’s changed a lot. Mahal sa Pearl Farm but I guess worth it π
My weekend is always busy but i’m thankful we were able to get more rest yesterday afternoon!
Pearl Farm Beach Resort, where you can have a beach getaway without the crowd of beachgoers. I’d love to go there too because #LaBoracay is super saturated already. =)
