My Messy Home Office Desk!

WAHM Home Office

Beginning, particularly, with my home office desk.

(I only “own” half of that office — I’m focusing on my desk now teehee.)

I mean, I know it’s not that messy (my mum’s desk is a lot messier!) but it’s no longer inspiring. Nothing is in its right place and it’s a far cry from what it looked like during the first days of January. Observe:

Almost all of my pretty desk stuff unceremoniously dumped on top of my (Yuri’s) shelf

I keep on forgetting to glue this cute giraffe back to my Rina Designs pen holder (see brown wooden box at the back)

For some reason, I put this notepad on top of my (unclean) printer?

And my drawer is overflowing with paper, stickers, cards, and whatnots

I read just this afternoon an article that one simple trick in boosting your productivity is this: a workspace that inspires youIsn’t that simple and wonderful? But at the same time, it’s quite hard to accomplish (at least for me). How will I ever find the time to reorganise and give my humble office space a makeover? I had printed a couple of wall art printables several months ago but still haven’t found time to frame and hang them. Now what?

To find some inspiration, I browsed what else but Pinterest and looked for beautiful desk inspirations that are also doable:

1 2 3 4

Here are the things I’m planning to do (and need to make time for!):

1. Rearrange my office furniture. Put the desk against the wall and window to maximise space (and lighting).

2. I want to repaint my generic desk, which is a boring grey, but painting entails a lot of time and effort and I’m not sure if I’m up for that. I want to, though.

3. Look or buy a narrow shelf so that my things are not so crowded. Ideally, it will be where I will be putting my printer, too, so that my limited desk space does not become even more limited.

4. If budget allows, buy a new (preferably pink or teal) office chair. The one I’m using now is an old dining chair since my mum borrowed mine when her old one broke.

What else? Hmm. I’ll keep you posted!

Those pinterest desk inspirations are beautiful. Decorating your own desk is exciting. I hope you do all the things you wanted to do with your office desk.

Your office desk isn’t messy at all.

I always have mighty bond tucked inside our ref cover so anytime I need something to glue, it’s readily available. I tend to forget kasi Kapag pinalagpas Ko ng days.

I also have an iron man (yes iron man because the boys aren’t interested with marvel characters anymore so I use those stuff instead) ottoman which serves as the hiding place for my knick knacks.

My workplace seriously looks like a dump because of all the papers piled on top of my desk. I wish I could just trash everything lol.

You’re home office isn’t that messy. I think I’d win if we were in a mesy desk contest. Hahaha. Kidding aside, I love your home office inspiration from Pinterest. Makes me want to fix my own home office too.
