Lovely Monday, everyone!
I’ve taken the entire weekend off. Aside from trips to the playground and walks around the village, I never stepped outside the house. I needed some rest. But the bad news is that, because I was also almost always online, I was constantly checking out online shops. Noooo!
Well, for one, I really need a new phone (my Zenfone is still working really well, but its crack is growing – it’s almost like the West Valley fault now – and I don’t want to fully destroy it). I’m looking for a midrange unit with a good camera; what do you suggest?
Also, after last week’s weekend getaway at Villa Amparo Resort in Samal, I realised I needed a backpack. You see, I always used travel totes and duffel bags. They have always worked for me — until I needed to bring a pre-schooler along alone. So, backpack it is.
Don’t worry — I haven’t bought anything yet. I’m trying to save up. Emphasis on trying.
But let me show you some fun and frugal finds I bought in August. Let’s start with kawaii office supplies!
Coin purse/ earphone case – P40 each
Card holder – P25 each
I actually bought the wallet a month ago, but I belatedly realised it (I took the picture already) so I just included it. The coin purses and card holders, I bought from an online store. Send me a PM to know where. More items from that store after the jump.
Pencil case – P35 each (I bought three but I forgot where I placed the other one)
Sticky notes – P20
Sailor-themed stationery tape – P35
Yellow candy colour pen – P30
Desktop organiser – P40 (I bought two)
Wire organiser – P30
Foot back protector – P25
I also bought other stuff that didn’t make it to the picture like sanitary pad purses (P35 – I bought two) and electric fan covers (P25 – I bought three). I really enjoyed buying kawaii stuff from that online store — obviously!
I also discovered another online shop that sells clothes really cheaply. While I like buying in malls and boutiques, nothing compares to the thrill of buying cheap dresses! I bought all three dresses — a navy blue maxi-dress, a pink floral midi-dress and a white tunic — from one online store.
What I love about them is that none of them costs over P300 (I forgot the exact prices but I’m pretty sure the cheapest costs below P200) and the quality of all three is perfect. The material is thick and there were no loose thread. I dare say the quality is even better than that of the dresses I buy that are 3-4 times more expensive.
(Oh, and I discovered that one doesn’t need to be tall to wear a maxi dress!)
And one Photobook…
I love Photobook Philippines. The photobooks are easy to make whether through their online platform or through the downloadable software, and the quality is always excellent. Plus, shipping is fast considering the fact that the photobooks are printed and put together in Malaysia. Shipping is even quicker than a certain online shop I know (*coughs*Lazada*coughs).
I have already bought 3 photobooks, and this is the latest one. I availed of their recent promo for mini photobooks (only P100 per photobook!), and bought 5. The one pictured above contains pictures from our family reunion in Cebu back in 2012 when I weighed 10 pounds less. Huhu.
